Awaited Leader (Allama Iqbal's Prayer & Prediction)

Allama Iqbal's Prayer to Holy Prophet (PBUH) For A Leader

A Leader will come in future as a result of Allama Iqbal's Prayer. In 1936, Allama Iqbal prayed to Holy Prophet (PBUH) for that Leader and In 1938,  Iqbal forecast that a Leader will appear to guide the nation to its destiny

From Persian Books of Allama Iqbal. (Please read the complete post)

1. To The Prophet (PBUH):
First read that Prayer from Book 'Pas Che Bayad Kard: What Should Be Done' (A Persian Book published in 1936), Prayer has 62 verses/ashaar, Only 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 32nd are mentioned here.

urdu and english translations are below each verse

To The Holy Prophet (PBUH)

Say: Get up at my order and quicken,
revive in his heart with the cry: Allah Hu, (Give him Life)

We are all under the spell of Western culture,
And are martyrs at the altar of the Franks

From that nation whose cup is now broken (Lost his path),
Produce a Single Man who is God enthusiastic.

So that the Muslim should learn to see himself again
And look upon himself as the respectable of the whole world

The whole universe revolves round you.
I entreat a look of mercy from you.

2. From This Dust A Rider Comes, Do You Know?
Now Read Allama Iqbal's Forecast (Prediction) from Book Armaghan-e-Hijaz Farsi, about that Great Leader which will eventually appear to guide this country. As part of Complete Poem Huzoor-e-Millat, this sub-poem has ten quatrains, five are mentioned here. (Read Complete Poem here)

From This Dust A Rider Comes, Do You Know?

How lucky and happy would be that era/time,
When a rider (Muslim Leader) will born from my own clay

How lucky a nation who is captured by difficulties,
Because from its heart (inner) A Great Leader will born.
Appearance of That Great Leader is a secret of secrets,
Because every dust doesn't have that Leader

His glance would fill up the empty bowl,
He runs the will’s wine in vine’s veins whole.
His storms and gales are a God gift free,
He made a small brook, ‘rival of sea.

(1) ‘His glance’; viz, of that Leader
(2) Empty bowls; from love of the Prophet and mankind.
(3) Will’s wine here it means new hopes.
(4) Storms verve and vigor of love and cravings.
(5) A brook; a small nation.
(6) Sea a big power.

The caravans reins he would take when,
He gives vision taste to each hidden then.
He makes so much bare the heavenly hosts
That all nine skies would be tinder his force

My heart thus says that the hero (Great Leader) will come who will hail the wealth
At the time of death, I heard the voice from Sky that after me, the Leader will surely, come

Armaghan-e-Hijaz was the Last book of Allama Iqbal, published in Nov 1938 after Allama Iqbal's death (April 1938). Armaghan-e-Hijaz (Gift of Hijaz or Gift for Hijaz) was the book which Allama Iqbal desired to take to the ROZA-E-RASOOL (SAW) as a Gift but .....

This Faqeer’s last time has come so near,
May come or not secrets seer
